A car accident in Galveston has led to a lawsuit.

Mark K. Cummins filed suit in the Galveston County District Court on March 6, naming Chevon M. Eaton as the defendant.

Cummins is suing Eaton over injuries he allegedly sustained in a car accident in April 2012. According to Cummins, he was traveling westbound on Avenue J in Galveston when he was hit. Cummins says he had the right of way and was taking a left turn when Eaton failed to yield and hit him.

Cummins claims to have suffered injuries in the accident. Eaton is being sued for negligence for allegedly failing to yield to Cummins who had the right of way.

Cummins is seeking more than $200,000 in damages.

He is being represented by attorney Ryan Sorrells of Ben Abbott PC in Garland.
