Kay Jewelers is suing a customer who was issued a store credit card that has an outstanding balance.

Sterling Jewelers, doing business as Kay Jewelers, filed suit against Reginald Murray in the Galveston County Court at Law No. 1 on March 6, alleging Murray has failed to pay his overdue credit card balance.

Kay Jewelers says they issued a credit card to Murray in 2010 and Murray racked up more than $1,500 worth of charges. When the balance became due, the store alleges that Murray didn't pay.

Kay Jewelers claims Murray breached the credit agreement governing the use of the card and wont pay the overdue balance.

Kay Jewelers is seeking $1,532.27 in damages.

It is being represented by Houston attorney Fallon Hamilton.
