Dayton woman sued on claims she caused car accident

A Beaumont man is suing over claims he sustained serious injuries after a car accident.

Charles Calloway filed a lawsuit March 10 in the Jefferson County District Court against Elizabeth Brown Edwards, citing negligence.

Calloway claims on March 9, 2012, he was stopped at the signal light at the corner North 11th Street and Laurel Street in Beaumont, when Edwards crashed into his car, resulting in Calloway sustaining injuries of his neck, lower back and left leg.

The suit alleges the defendant was not paying attention to the traffic around her.

Calloway is seeking medical expenses, damages, interest, attorneys' fees, and court costs.

He is being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney Marva Provo of Provo and Provo.
