A credit card provider has filed suit in order to reclaim more than $4,000 in charges from a cardholder.
American Express Bank FSB filed suit in the Jefferson County District Court on March 13, naming Adolph Levine, doing business as Southeast Travel, as the defendant.
The plaintiff claims Levine was issued a credit card by AMEX and racked up thousands of dollars worth of charges which he has not been able to pay off.
AMEX says Levine has not disputed any of the charges, but has failed to pay them. Levine's current balance is up to $4,225.56, some of which is interest that has accrued as a result of carrying the balance.
AMEX is seeking $4,225.56 in damages.
It is being represented by attorney Donald D. DeGrasse of DeGrasse & Rolnick in Houston.
