Concrete company sues contractor over unpaid bill

A concrete company claims it delivered concrete to a construction site, but have not been paid by the contractor for their work.

Durrett Concrete LLC is suing Keith and Vicki Traylor in the Galveston County District Court. The suit, filed March 14, alleges the Traylors haven't paid a bill of more than $20,000.

Durrett, a concrete company out of Brazoria, says a construction company asked them to pour some concrete at the Traylor's residence which was under construction at that time. Durrett says workers came that day and poured the concrete.

Durrett claims they provided the Traylors with an invoice for $21,141.23, after the work was complete. However, the Traylors have failed to pay the invoice, according to the complaint.

Durrett is now suing for the unpaid balance on an unjust enrichment theory.

Durrett is seeking $21,141.23 in damages.

It is being represented by attorney A.G. Crouch of Alvin.
