Kroger sued after customer falls in puddle

Caution slippery

A League City resident is suing after allegedly sustaining injuries while inside a Kroger.


Margaret McBride filed a lawsuit April 2 in the Galveston County Court against The Kroger Co., citing premises liability. 

The complaint states McBride was injured July 25, while within the defendant's store at 200 S. Gulf Freeway in League City. The plaintiff alleges she sustained injuries after slipping and falling in a puddle of water.

McBride is seeking monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Jonathan S. Harris of Schechter, McElwee, Shaffer & Harris LLP.
