A Galveston County woman is suing over claims she was injured after using a hair relaxer product.
Debra Washington filed a lawsuit April 7 in the Galveston County District Court against Strength of Nature Global LLC, citing product liability.
According to the complaint, on April 8, 2012, Washington used a hair relaxer product made by Strength of Nature Global that caused severe pain and chemical burns, requiring hospital treatment.
Strength of Nature Global is accused of failing to provide adequate warnings about the dangers of the chemicals in the product.
Washington is seeking more than $200,000 in damages.
She is being represented in the case by attorney Catherine Herrington Hale of The Harrington Law Firm in Houston.
