A Harris County woman is suing over claims she was injured on the premises of a U-Haul location in League City.

Lisa Waugh filed a lawsuit April 15 in the Galveston County District Court against U-Haul Co. of Houston and U-Haul Company of Gulf Coast Texas, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Waugh was a customer at the U-Hail location on Gulf Freeway in League City on June 10, when she slipped on a wet, muddy floor mat, fell and sustained injuries, including a fracture to her wrist.

Waugh says she was taken to Clear Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance and underwent surgery at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital.

U-Haul is accused of failing to maintain its premises.

Waugh is seeking more than $100,000 in damages.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Wisam Ghuneim of The Ghuneim Law Firm.
