A Hunt County woman is suing Texas Farm Bureau after she was injured in a car accident and says she was denied money for a claim.

Donna Babers filed a lawsuit April 15 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Texas Farm Bureau, citing negligence.

Babers claims she was involved in a car accident when traveling westbound in the 6400 block of FM 3005 in Galveston on Jan. 19, 2013. According to the suit, Babers filed a claim to the defendants regarding the accident in a timely manner, but they have failed to pay or make any offers for Baber's claim under her uninsured motorist coverage.

Baber is seeking damages in an amount within the jurisdictional limits, interest and court costs.

She is being represented by League City attorneys E.A. Apffel III and Tyler C. Scully of Apffel Law Firm.
