Driver sued after failing to yield right of way at intersection

A Jefferson County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a vehicle collision on Avenue D.


Marion Bruno filed a lawsuit April 22 in the Jefferson County District Court against Theresa Jefferson, citing negligence. 


According to the complaint, Bruno was driving south on Avenue D at the intersection with Roberts Street on Sept. 18, 2012, when Jefferson failed to yield the right of way to Bruno, pulled away from a stop sign, and struck Bruno's car. Jefferson is accused of negligence.


Bruno is seeking damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court.


She is being represented in the case by attorney Thomas O. Moses.
