Brite Lights of Houston sued after employee injured installing Christmas lights

A Harrison County man is suing over claims he was injured while installing Christmas lights for his employer.

Allan Rambaran filed a lawsuit April 30 in the Galveston County District Court against Brite Lights of Houston Gauna Investments LLC, citing gross negligence. 

According to the complaint, Rambaran was employed by Brite Lights of Houston installing Christmas lights on the roof of a client's house on Nov. 7, 2013, when he was injured.

The defendant is accused of failing to properly train employees or provide safety equipment.

Rambaran is seeking more compensatory damages for medical expenses, actual and punitive damages, and lost earnings.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Lance Nolan Walters of Tracey Law Firm in Houston.
