A Beaumont resident is being sued after allegedly striking another vehicle.
Stephanie E. Francois and Shunnette D. Jordan filed a lawsuit April 30 in the Jefferson County Court against Jamie L. Fountain, citing negligence and negligence per se.
The complaint states the plaintiffs were traveling west on Calder Avenue when Fountain negligently turned in front of the vehicle occupied by the plaintiffs, which caused a collision Aug. 24, 2012.
The plaintiffs allege the defendant's negligence caused their injuries and damages. They are seeking actual damages, interest and costs.
They are being represented in the case by Ryan C. Scott of The Scott Law Firm PLLC.
