A Jefferson County resident is suing after being involved in an accident with a commercial vehicle.

Steven Oglesby filed a lawsuit May 8 in the Galveston County Court against Donald Bolden and Industrial Fabrics Inc., citing negligence, negligence per se, respondeat superior, gross negligence, negligent entrustment, negligent hiring and negligent supervision.

The complaint states on April 4, Oglesby was driving south on Highway 69 in Angelina County when Bolden backed a commercial vehicle into traffic, which caused the plaintiff to collide with the defendant's vehicle. At the time of the accident, Bolden was driving a vehicle owned by Industrial Fabrics and was working in the course of his employment with Industrial Fabrics, according to the complaint. The plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries as a result of the defendants' wrongful acts.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum. Oglesby is being represented in the case by Clay Dugas and Cody Rees.
