Gulf Gas Utilities sues construction company, claiming negligence

Gulf Gas Utilities is suing over claims a construction company damaged their property. 

Gulf Gas Utilities Co. filed a lawsuit May 13 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Ser Construction Partners LLC, citing negligence.

Gulf Gas Utilities claims Ser Construction Partners damaged gas lines while conducting excavation activities on May 8, 2013, in the Century Boulevard area. The suit alleges the defendant hit Gulf Gas's lines that had been clearly located and marked, resulting in damages in the amount of $70,254.82.

Gulf Gas Utilities is seeking damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limit of the court, interest and court costs. It is being represented by Houston attorney Jonathan Kieschnick.
