Two Texas residents suing after Highway 73 car accident

Two Texas residents are suing over claims they sustained injuries after an automobile accident.

Rodney Jackson and James Harris filed a lawsuit May 27 in the Jefferson County District Court against Curtis Taylor and James Queen, citing negligence.

Jackson and Harris claim they suffered injuries when their car was struck while stopped on the inside lane of westbound Highway 73 on Nov. 22, causing them multiple injuries.

According to the suit, the plaintiffs stopped on the highway

because an accident had just occurred, when defendant Taylor hit the back of the plaintiffs' car and defendant Queen hit Taylor's car pushing the plaintiffs' vehicle into the car in front of them.

Jackson and Harris are seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits, interest and court costs.

They are being represented in the case by Orange attorney Christopher S. Smith of Bush Lewis PLLC.
