The Texas City Kroger store has been named in a negligence suit.
Damon Porter filed suit June 4 in Galveston County District Court against The Kroger Co.
According to the suit, Porter was shopping at the Texas City Kroger store on May 12, 2013, when he slipped and fell while approaching the check-out counter. As a result of the fall, Porter sustained injuries to his back, head, right shoulder, right elbow and hip, according to the suit.
The defendant is accused of negligence, failing to provide safe premises for customers, failing to take reasonable precautions and failing to warn about the dangerous condition.
