A home in Port Arthur is facing foreclosure after the couple who owns it allegedly stopped making mortgage payments.
Neches Federal Credit Union filed an order of foreclosure June 10 in the Jefferson County District Court against John P. Martinez and Cristi Martinez.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff seeks to foreclose on a property owned by the defendants at 4339 Asbury St., Port Arthur for unpaid mortgage payments.
The total amount owed by the defendants is $47,711.49, which they have refused to pay, the suit states.
The plaintiff is seeking the court's permission to proceed with foreclosure.
