Jefferson County collision leads to lawsuit

A man is suing after allegedly being injured in a collision.

Joe Elliot filed suit June 19 in Jefferson County District Court against Frank Nessour.

According to the complaint, on March 18 Elliot was riding in a vehicle driven by his wife in Jefferson County when it was collided into by a vehicle driven by Nessour.  The defendant is accused of failing to operate his vehicle at a reasonable speed, failing to timely apply the brakes, failing to take evasive action and failing to exercise a safe and proper lookout.

Elliot is seeking damages in excess of $100,000. He is represented by Beaumont attorney Cody A. Dishon of Provost Umphrey Law Firm LLP.
