Brazoria County driver sued after collision in Galveston County

Rearend crash

A Galveston County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a vehicle collision.

Laquita Avery filed a lawsuit June 27 in the Galveston County District Court against Alyssa Moore, citing negligence. 

According to the complaint, Avery was stopped at a stop sign at Quaker Drive and East Shadowbend on Sept. 25, 2012, when her vehicle was rear-ended by Moore's vehicle, causing injury to the plaintiff. Moore is accused of negligent driving and failing to control her speed.

Avery is seeking more than $200,000 in damages, medical expenses and costs of court.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Jeffrey N. Todd of The Law Firm of Alton C. Todd in Friendswood.
