A collision in Beaumont has resulted in a lawsuit.
Tammy Rochelle White filed suit July 15 in the Jefferson County District Court against Desheka Lashay Nichols and Shanish Murray.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 24, 2012, White was driving her truck eastbound in the 3800 block of College Street in Beaumont when suddenly her vehicle was violently struck from behind by a vehicle driven by defendant Nichols, resulting in damages and injuries to the plaintiff.
The defendants are accused of negligence by failing to keep a proper lookout, failing to maintain a reasonable distance from the plaintiff's vehicle and operating her vehicle at a high rate of speed.
Defendant Murray is also accused of negligent entrustment.
White is seeking damages within the jurisdictional limit, exemplary damages, interest and costs.
