A man has filed suit against the driver he claims rear-ended his vehicle

Rearend crash

A man has filed suit against the driver he claims rear-ended the vehicle he was riding in.

Terry Eugene Manuel filed suit July 21 in the Jefferson County District Court against Adam Daniel Galvan.

According to the complaint, Manuel was riding in a vehicle Oct. 25, when the defendant rear-ended it. Because of the collision, Manuel experienced physical pain and mental suffering, incurred medical costs and lost earnings, according to the complaint.

Galvan negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, drove too fast, failed to yield the right-of-way, lacked proper control and failed to timely apply his brakes, the suit states.

Manuel is seeking a judgment in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

He is being represented by attorney Taylor Miller of Reaud, Morgan and Quinn in Beaumont.
