Man claims two other drivers' negligence led to injury crash

A Texas man is suing two other drivers, whose negligence, he says, led to severe injury from which he still suffers.

Jackie Baker filed a lawsuit against Michael Kasha and Tequalla Randle in Galveston County District Court on Aug. 5.

Court papers say that Baker was traveling northbound on S. Interstate 45 on Aug. 23, 2012, when defendant Kasha failed to control his speed as traffic slowed, striking the vehicle of defendant Randle, who failed to take evasive action and whose vehicle struck the plaintiff's 2009 Cadillac.

Because of the crash, the plaintiff sustained serious injuries and will likely continue to suffer disfigurement and pain, as well as lost wages, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff is seeking a jury trial on these counts and a judgment in an amount exceeding jurisdictional minimums.

Baker is represented by John Daspit of Robert Bam Griewe in Houston.
