A Jefferson County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision when a driver allegedly unsafely changed lanes.
Deresa Yvonne Green filed a lawsuit Sept. 25 in Jefferson County District Court against Duane Edmond LeBlanc and Tango Transport, doing business as Tango Transport Inc., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Green was driving in Beaumont on Jan. 3, when LeBlanc, who was driving a vehicle owned by Tango Transport and was employed by Tango, attempted to switch lanes when it was not safe to do so and struck Green's car. Green says she sustained injuries requiring medical treatment. LeBlanc is accused of negligence, and Tango Transport is accused of negligent entrustment.
Green seeks more than $200,000 in damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, loss of earning capacity, loss of consortium and parental consortium, interest and costs of court. She is represented by attorney Justin G. Sanderson of Sanderson Law Firm in Beaumont.
