Man blamed for causing three-car accident

A Galveston County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision when the driver behind her allegedly failed to stop at a red light.

Jana Rauvolfova filed a lawsuit Oct. 6 in Galveston County District Court against Robert Andrew D'Angelo, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Rauvolfova was driving southbound on 61st Street in Galveston County on Dec. 2, 2012, when she was stopped at a red light. The complaint states D'Angelo was traveling behind the plaintiff and failed to stop, rear-ending Rauvolfova's vehicle and pushing it into the vehicle in front of it. Rauvolfova says she was injured, and D'Angelo is accused of negligence in driving too fast and failing to stop or turn to avoid a collision, according to the suit.

Rauvolfova seeks damages, including loss of earning capacity and medical expenses, interest and costs of court. She is represented by attorneys Eric D. Nielsen and Amandine Smith of Nielsen and Mukerji in Houston.
