Driver cited with causing three-car accident sued by driver she rear-ended first

Accident

A man who was injured in a three-car accident in 2014 is suing the driver who allegedly rear-ended him.

Leigh Culbertson filed a complaint on July 22 in Galveston County District Court against Jennifer Talbot.

On May 29, 2014, Culbertson, of Galveston County, was stopped at a red light in League City, when Talbot, of Sugar Land, struck Culberton's vehicle from the rear, causing Culbertson's vehicle to hit the car in front of it, according to the lawsuit.

As the alleged result of Talbot's negligence and inability to control her speed, Culbertson suffered serious injuries, pain and suffering, loss of earning ability and medical expenses.

The plaintiff seeks a jury trial and an award of damages in excess of the court's jurisdictional limits, plus pre- and post-judgment interest and court costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Ashley N. Pribble and Alex W. Horton of the Krist Law Firm PC in Houston.

Galveston County District Court case number 15-CV-0761.
