A Harris County man is suing a transportation company, alleging negligence in a traffic accident involving one of its employees.

Max-Charles Wallace filed a lawsuit Aug. 31 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against State Wide Transport Inc. of Houston, alleging vehicular negligence.

According to the complaint, on the morning of July 4, 2014, Wallace was headed westbound on Kaliste Saloom Road at its intersection with Camelia Blvd in Lafayette, La. At the same time, the suit says, Heather Thibodeaux was driving eastbound at a high rate of speed when she suddenly and, without warning, made a left hand turn and struck the driver's side of Wallace's vehicle, injuring Wallace and causing damage to his vehicle.

As an employee and driver, Thibodeaux is a representative of State Wide Transport, thus they are liable for her actions, the suit says.

The plaintiff alleges various damages, including severe injuries and the medical treatment associated with said injuries and mental anguish, loss of potential earning wages and damage to the vehicle.

Wallace seeks relief of said damages in the amount the court deems fit. He is  represented by attorney Dennis Spurling of Dennis Spurling Attorney at Law & Friends in Houston.

Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas case number 4:15-CV-02515.
