Galveston County man sues Sabio Investments, alleging default loan payments

Contract

A Galveston County man is suing an investment company and its agents, alleging default loan payments.

Shlomy Padlon filed a lawsuit Sept. 4 in Galveston County District Court against Sabio Investments, Rodrigo Rojas, and Anna Rojas, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Padlon loaned Sabio Investments $296,000, guaranteed on the promissory note by Sabio's sole members, Rodrigo and Anna Rojas. The suit says the defendants are in default for failing to make 10 installment payments between September 2013 and August 2015.

The Texas Secretary of State Office terminated and dissolved Sabio Investments Feb. 20 for failure to file required returns but still the defendants have failed to remedy the default, even after Padlon sent them a notice of default and intent to accelerate on July 29, the suit alleges.

The complaint states, as of the filing date, the defendants owed $201,800 at an interest rate of 10 percent.

Padlon seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, plus attorney fees and legal costs. He is represented by Matthew Knebel and Andres Soto of Mills Shirley in Galveston.

Galveston County District Court case number 15-cv-0937.
