Customer alleges Wal-Mart's negligence led to fall on wet floor

GALVESTON -- A Texas woman is suing Wal-Mart, alleging negligence for injuries she says she sustained after slipping and falling on a wet floor.

Cheryl Johnson filed the a lawsuit Sept. in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC, alleging negligence. 

According to the complaint, on Dec. 18, 2014, while shopping at the Wal-Mart at College Park Shopping Center in Conroe, Johnson slipped and fell on a wet floor that was being cleaned.

The plaintiff alleges she sustained medical expenses, physical pain and mental anguish, physical impairment and disfigurement.

Johnson seeks $75,000 in damages, plus attorney fees and court costs. She is being represented by attorney Dax Frank Garza of Houston.
