Consultant alleges Brock Enterprises failed to pay $1 million

A Port Arthur consulting firm is suing a Texas company, alleging failure to pay more than $1 million following the termination of its contract.

Griffith Moseley Johnson & Associates (GMJ) filed a lawsuit Sept. 30 in Jefferson County District Court against Brock Enterprises, alleging failure to pay fees due the firm according to the terms of their contract.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 1, 2014, GMJ, a business consulting firm, entered into a consulting agreement wherein its was to be paid 2 percent of Brock Enterprises' gross profit. On Sept. 18, 2014, Brock terminated the agreement, the suit says, and GMJ has not received the contractually agreed upon payments.

GMJ seeks $1 million in actual damages, attorney fees, costs and interest. It is represented by attorney Greg M. Dykema of Strong, Pipkin, Bissell & Ledyard in Beaumont.
