A Rockwell County couple is suing a contractor, alleging incomplete renovation work.

Robert Proctor and Suzanna Proctor filed a lawsuit Oct. 2 in Galveston County District Court against Larry H. Masters doing business as Master Medical Equipment Inc. and The Living Stone Company.

According to the complaint, in June 2014, the plaintiffs contracted with Masters to provide materials and labor, delivery and installation of granite and granite-related products for their property at 19063 Kahala Drive, Galveston. The plaintiffs paid a deposit of $28,000, leaving a balance of nearly $6,100 to be paid when the job was completed to satisfaction, the suit says.

After several delays and incomplete work in June 2015 the plaintiffs decided to file suit.  As a result of the defendants' actions, the suit alleges the plaintiffs suffered injury and actual damages and those damages continue.

The Proctors seek compensatory damages, attorney fees, court costs, interest and a trial by jury. They are represented by attorneys Grant Bradley Stock of The Stock Law Firm PLLC in Dallas and S.R. Lewis Jr. LLP of  Lewis & Williams in Galveston.
