Overtime2

Three Texas women are suing a national housekeeping, maintenance and food services company and one of its subcontractors, alleging unpaid overtime wages.

Maria Imelda Saldana, Lucia Gonzalez Balderas and Maria Cardenas de Mora, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a collective action lawsuit Sept. 30 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Aramark Facility Services, Optimum Source Inc., Joanna Ogilvie, and Megan Ogilvie, alleging unpaid overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs were hired by Optimum, an Aramark subcontractor, to work for Aramark as general housekeeping laborers assigned to work at NRG Stadium or The Toyota Center.

The suit alleges during their working tenure for Optimum and Aramark, the plaintiffs regularly worked between 60-72 hours per week during peak rodeo and sport seasons throughout the year but they were not paid an overtime premium for time worked more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs and others in the class seek to recover unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages and attorney fees. They are represented by attorney Josef F. Buenker of Houston.

Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas case number 4:15-cv-02855.
