GALVESTON — A mother is suing her daughter and son-in-law in order to collect on a loan balance, which currently is more than $199,990.
Patricia Bull filed suit on Oct. 15, 2015 against her daughter, Angela Ochoa, and her son-in-law, Ildefonso Ochoa, in the District Court of Galveston County, alleging fraud, negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment and breach of contract,
Bull loaned the defendants $82,000 for debts related to Ochoa's law practice. The parties signed a promissory note and agreed to permit the plaintiff to live with them for life. Subsequently, additional loans were made to the defendants. The plaintiff now alleges the defendants have failed to repay the loan.
The plaintiff is demanding payment of the debt, plus interest, attorney fees and cost of litigation.
Bull is represented by David L. Thorton of Friendswood.
