Carcrash2

An Algoa woman is suing a League City man and his employer, alleging negligence for injuries the woman says she sustained in a vehicle collision.

Stephanie Galindo filed a lawsuit Oct. 22 in Galveston County District Court against The TY Group and Robert Dorman, alleging negligence.

On Sept. 17, the complaint states, Galindo was driving her 2014 Kia Sorento westbound on Avenue J/Highway 87 in Galveston, when Dorman, driving eastbound on the same street in the scope of his employment with TY Group, attempted to make a left turn onto 21st Street and collided with the side of Galindo's vehicle.

The suit says Dorman was negligent in failing to yield the right-of-way, disregarding a stoplight, failing to turn to avoid collision, failing to maintain proper lookout, speeding, and other negligent acts or omissions.

As a result, the plaintiff sustained injuries to her neck, head and back, the suit states.

Galindo seeks actual and exemplary damages, interests and court costs. She is represented by attorney Christopher K. Johns of Lapeze & Johns in Houston.

Galveston County District Court case number 15-cv-1134.
