John Wayne’s hit with personal injury suit

BEAUMONT – an area resident has filed a personal injury suit against the owner of John Wayne’s in Magnolia.

Seeking more than $100,000 in damages, Kacy Culp filed suit against BMT Entertainment, Dusty Wright and Trey Hilliard on Dec. 9 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 7, 2014, BMT was the employer of Wright. Hilliard and Wright allegedly caused bodily injury to Culp.

Culp claims BMT is negligent for failing to properly monitor employees and patrons.

Culp is seeking damages for pain, mental anguish, lost earning capacity and impairment.

The plaintiff is represented by Adam Terrell, attorney for the Beaumont law firm Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell.

Judge Kent Walston, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
