BEAUMONT – A doctor is suing a Beaumont hospital, alleging negligence after he says he suffered injuries during a slip and fall at the facility’s parking lot.
Dr. Miguel Castellanos, filed a lawsuit Dec. 16 in Jefferson County District Court against Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas, Phelan Meadows Partnership LP and the Bonion Group LLC, alleging negligence and failing to keep their parking lot free of algae.
On May 17, 2015, the complaint states, Castellanos fell on an area slippery from algae in the parking lot of Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. The plaintiff says he suffered injuries from the fall
Castellanos seeks a jury trial and monetary relief between $100,000 and $1 million. He is represented by attorney John Werner of Reaud, Morgan & Quinn, LLP in Beaumont.
