HOUSTON – A welder is suing a Houston-based fabrication company, alleging he is owed at least three years of overtime pay.

John C. Armstrong Jr. filed a lawsuit Jan. 20 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Oly Fabrication LLC and Bret A. Snyder of Cypress, alleging a violation of the Fair Labors Standards Act.

According to the lawsuit, throughout the first half of 2014 Armstrong routinely worked in excess of 40 hours a week, of which Oly was well aware, but intentionally chose not to pay him an appropriate overtime amount for such work.

The plaintiff alleges he is owed at least three years of overtime compensation.

Anderson seeks unpaid and/or underpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages and attorney fees.

He is represented by attorney Brett Michael Hill of Gibson Hill PC in Houston.
