ACME Welding sues over unpaid bill

Overdue

GALVESTON — A tank manufacturer is suing a contractor over an unpaid bill, citing alleged breach of contract.

ACME Welding & Fabricating Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 25, in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against George W. Johnson, alleging that the contractor failed and refused to pay the balance of $17,575.00 that he owes the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, ACME Welding & Fabricating Inc. fabricated, welded and delivered a tank to the property the defendant provided on Jan. 22. The defendant, however, did not pay the balance due and the accrued interest. 

The plaintiff seeks actual damages in the amount of $17,575, interest as provided in the agreement and/or by law, pre- and post-judgment interest as allowed by the law, costs of court and legal fees, and all other relief of which plaintiff is entitled.
