GALVESTON – A couple alleges that a League City contractor hired to install a covered patio on a house did poor work.
Marc Dufour & Lindsey Barber filed a complaint on Dec. 8 in the Galveston County Court against Daniel Robert Ballard alleging breach of contract, negligence and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they hired the defendant to work on their home and agreed to pay a certain amount for completed work. They allege the work completed by the defendant was substandard and that they hired another contractor to complete the job. The plaintiff holds Ballard responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to complete work as plaintiff requested.
The plaintiffs seek the following: compensation for all damages plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Craig W. Saunders of Barlow Jones LLP in Houston.
