SHERMAN — A former employee is suing a car dealership, alleging age discrimination led to his termination

Larry Clifford Burkett of Plano filed a suit March 10 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Classic Cars Limited Partnership, doing business as Classic BMW, alleging age discrimination and wrongful termination.

According to the complaint, Burkett, who is 68,  experienced discrimination during his employment, was wrongfully accused of "skating" a co-client adviser, and falsely accused of yelling at a customer which resulted in his termination.

The suit says the defendant terminated the plaintiff without issuing warnings as proper course of disciplinary actions during employment.

Burkett seeks compensation for all damages, loss of earnings and benefits in the past and future, reinstatement, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems proper. He is represented by attorney John E. Wall, Jr of the Law Offices of John E. Wall, Jr. in Dallas.
