Four workers accuse Palestine company of failing to pay overtime

Overtime

TYLER — Four employees are suing a Palestine company, alleging failure to pay overtime.

Daniel Sanchez, Humberto Gonzales, Jose Francisco Gonzales and Juan Bernardo Gonzales filed a lawsuit March 11 in the Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Redi-Mix Solutions LTD of Palestine, and owners Craig Scott and Brandi Scott, alleging they wrongfully failed to properly compensate employees by paying overtime wages.

According to the complaint, the four plaintiffs worked for approximately 75 hours per work week but did not receive any overtime pay during their employment. The suit says the defendants had knowledge of the total hours the plaintiffs were working per work week but still failed to pay their overtime wages.

The plaintiffs seek compensation for all damages, unpaid overtime wages plus interest, all legal fees, a jury trial and any other relief the court deems proper. They are represented by attorneys Charles L. Scalise and  Daniel B. Ross of Ross Law Group in Austin
