Orange County couple accuses motorist of causing accident

BEAUMONT — An Orange County couple is suing a Texas motorist, alleging his negligence caused a crash resulting in injuries.

Tavia Wagner and husband Carl Wagner of Orange filed a lawsuit March 7 in Jefferson County District Court against Bobby Vance, also of Orange, Emkay Inc. Trust and CBRE, Inc., also known as CB Richard Ellis, Inc, alleging negligence resulting in injury.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 24 in Orange County, the Wagners' car was run into by Bobby Vance, whose vehicle struck them from behind. The suit says Vance was negligently operating a vehicle owned by Emkay and the defendant was in the employment of Richard Ellis Inc.

The lawsuit says the crash damaged the vehicle and caused injuries to the plaintiffs.

The Wagners seeks monetary relief of $1 million, compensation for all damages, interest, all legal fees, any other relief as the court deems proper and a jury trial. They are represented by attorneys Paul F. Ferguson Jr., Larry C. Hunter and Cody A. Dishon of The Ferguson Law Firm, LLP in Beaumont.
