MARSHALL — A Texas company is suing Wells Fargo, alleging patent infringement.

DataMotion Texas LLC filed a lawsuit Nov. 6 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Wells Fargo Bank N.A. and Wells Fargo & Company, alleging they knowingly infringed upon multiple patents owed by plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Datamotion Texas LLC suffered damages to its business as a result of their patents being infringed. The plaintiff alleges the defendants infringe multiple patents licensed under DataMotion. The suit says Wells Fargo has technology at its disposal that could do the same tasks without infringing the plaintiff's patents but choose not to do so.

DataMotion Texas seeks compensation, trial by jury, all damages including interest, costs, and expenses, a permanent injunction, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems proper. It is represented by attorneys John J. Edmonds, Stephen F. Schlather and Shea N. Palavan of Collins, Edmonds, Pogorzelski, Schlather & Tower PLLC in Houston.
