By Wadi Reformado | Apr 8, 2016

BEAUMONT — A Jefferson County motorist is suing Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance, alleging breach of contract.

Lauren Adamson and Tina Baker filed a lawsuit March 30 in Jefferson County District Court against Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance alleging it failed to pay the plaintiff's benefits after she was in a car crash.

According to the complaint, on July 23, 2013, driver Adamson and passenger Baker suffered injuries and car damage when struck by another vehicle while driving southbound on state Highway 146. The suit says the driver of the other vehicle had no insurance. The plaintiffs allege Allstate failed to pay full benefits for injuries they sustained in the accident.

Adamson and Baker request a trial by jury, pre and post-judgment interest as allowed by the law, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys John A. Davis, Jr. and Steven R. Davis of Davis & Davis in Houston.
