Weatherford International, Precision Energy Services alleged to have not paid overtime wages

Money owed

HOUSTON – A Richmond man alleges he was not paid overtime premiums by his former employers.

Shannon Bowman filed a complaint on behalf of himself and all others similarly situated against Weatherford International LLC and Precision Energy Services Inc. on April 5 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas, citing violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during his employment from 2011 to March of this year, he was employed as a technical specialist by the defendants. The suit states he often worked a 12-hour shift per day but did not receive pay of a one-and-one-half rate for the extra hours worked. The plaintiff holds Weatherford International LLC and Precision Energy Services Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly misclassified their employees in order to avoid paying them overtime premiums.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment of unpaid wages, liquidated damages on all wages owed plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Michael A. Starzyk, April L. Walter and Amber L. Karns of Starzyk & Associates PC in The Woodlands.
