Woman alleges she was injured in fall at Walmart store

Walmart

BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County customer alleges she was injured because a retail store failed to keep its area clean and safe from any hazards that can cause injuries to others.

Whitney Gooden filed a complaint on April 6 in the Jefferson County District Court against Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 4, 2015, she suffered injuries on her body when she slipped and fell due to substance on the floor. The plaintiff holds Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly should have known the dangerous condition of the floor within its facility and should have warned plaintiff of the foreign substance on it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by John A. Daspit, Robert Morse and Michael L. Grinsfelder of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
