Law money 09

HOUSTON – A former employee alleges that an energy company paid daily bonuses but did not pay overtime wages.

Jerry Boyles filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on April 14 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Oil States Energy Services LLC, alleging that the employer did not fairly compensate their employees.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from February 2013 to June 2015, he worked for more than 40 hours per work week but did not receive any overtime pay. The plaintiff holds Oil States Energy Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly misclassified its employees as exempt from overtime wages.

The plaintiff seeks all unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages at the maximum rate allowed by the law, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Galvin B. Kennedy of Kennedy Hodges LLP in Houston.
