BEAUMONT — A Beaumont woman is suing the owners of a local apartment complex, alleging their negligence led to her suffering injuries.

Rose Hudson filed a complaint March 15 in Jefferson County District Court against Stone Hearst Apartments, Alpha-Barnes Development, Alpha-Barnes Real Estate Services LLC, Stone Way II LP, New Life Alliance and Stone Way Limited Partnership, alleging negligence in failing to warn of potential hazards on the floor.

According to the complaint, on July 30, 2014, Hudson sustained injuries when she fell on oversized carpet tacks that were not fully secured to the floor. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to warn Hudson of the potential harm protruding carpet tacks can cause.

The suit says the plaintiff suffered serious and debilitating injuries, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish and medical costs.

Hudson seeks all damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Jonathan C. Juhan and J.J. Bragg of Beaumont.
