GALVESTON — Two Texas men are suing a Wood County man and a business, alleging they were assaulted at a Kemah bar.

George Azzam and Peter Gueorgiev filed a lawsuit April 25 in Galveston County District Court against Nomaskas LLC and Ralph McFadin of Yantis, alleging assault and negligence in that insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 19, Azzam and Gueorgiev sustained personal injuries when they fell down the stairs after being assaulted by McFadin at JP's Upper Deck in Kemah. The plaintiffs allege Nomaskas, the owners of the property, failed to enforce policies regarding intoxicated persons inside its establishment.

Azzam and Gueorgiev seek a trial by jury, damages between $200,000 and $1 million, interest at the highest legal rate, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Carlos A. Leon and Piero A. Garcia of The Leon Law Firm PC in Sugar Land.
