HOUSTON — A Texas man is suing a barge towing company, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent him suffering injuries.

Charles Hamilton filed a lawsuit May 2 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Crosby Marine Towing LLC alleging negligence in failing to make sure the barge was free of any hazards.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 24, 2015, Hamilton, a tankerman, sustained injuries when slipped and fell while performing his duties on a barge. The plaintiff alleges Crosby Marine failed to take precautionary measures on the barge while it was connected to a push boat.

The suit says the plaintiff suffered injuries to his neck, head and back.

Hamilton seeks a trial by jury, compensatory damages, all medical expenses, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Anthony G. Buzbee and Andrew Dao of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
