BEAUMONT — A Port Arthur customer is suing a Jefferson County fuel depot, alleging its negligence led to her suffering injuries.
Beulah Wilson filed a lawsuit May 5 in Jefferson County District Court against Beyond Development Inc, Bellfort Retail, Inc., doing business as Fuel Depot No. 19 and/or Belfort Retail Inc., doing business as Duel Depot No. 19, alleging negligence in failing to warn the plaintiff of a foreign substance on the floor.
According to the complaint, on May 20, 2014, Wilson slipped and fell because of a water that was left on the floor of the defendants' Port Arthur facility. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to put warning signs on the floor despite having knowledge that a customer had dropped ice, making the floor slippery.
The suit says the plaintiff sustained loss of earnings, physical impairment, disfigurement and mental anguish.
Wilson seeks damages, medical expenses, interest, legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Jonathan C. Juhan and J.J. Bragg of Beaumont.
